Buying Bullion:
This can be done over the phone or via email. A quote will be emailed to you as soon as possible locking in the purchase price.
When a written quote is received by the purchaser, full payment is required to be cleared into our bank account immediately for the quote to be confirmed, there is risk the spot price will change between the time of the 1st quote and the time your funds are credited to our bank account.
Any movement in the spot price will need to be adjusted on your final invoice.
Under no circumstances will bullion be delivered before funds have cleared and been made available.
Quoted Price:
The price you receive from us is based on the metal spot price multiplied by the FX rate of USD/NZD and includes postage, insurance and sales margin. All prices on Waihihi Bullion Company’s website are indicative prices only and are not the exact price you will pay.
Currency:
Transactions via the Waihihi Bullion Website may be carried out in any of the following currencies; $NZD, $USD, $AUD, GBP, EUR. Currency conversion rates used on our website may differ slightly from rates published elsewhere. If your purchasing currency is not your native currency, your final bill will be determined by the exchange rate applied by your credit card company at the time the charge is recorded, plus any fees applied by your credit card provider.
Payment Options:
You must make full payment immediately after purchase or your order will automatically be cancelled, you will need to resubmit your order and any payment price changes will be adjusted and invoiced. All Payment details will be detailed on your invoice.
Paypal – all paypal transaction will incur a 3.9% surcharge on the total product cost
International Money transfer – all payment must be same day settlement and funds must be sent to us in NZD
Same Day Domestic Bank Transfer (NZ customers only) – all payment must be same day settlement and funds to be sent to us in NZD
Cash - due to strict Anti Money Laundering rules, we do not accept cash payments for orders over $10,000 NZD
Credit Card - Bullion purchases can be made by Credit Card and will incur a 3% surcharge for all credit cards except American Express will incur a 3.2% surcharge
Sales Tax:
All sales to persons outside New Zealand (NZ) are exempt from New Zealand Goods and Services Tax (GST). For NZ domestic sales, all products of 99.5% pure metal or higher (gold and silver coins, medals and bullion) are exempt from GST. However, products incorporating other materials in their manufacture (including coins on stands, jewellery, and the like) are subject to the standard rate of GST applying at the time of sale which is 15% today
Duties, Taxes and Customs Clearances:
You may be subject to import duties, taxes and customs clearances levied by your country or other overseas authority once a shipment reaches your country. These charges are not included in the price that WBC Ltd quotes to you. You should contact your local customs office for further information on applicable duties, taxes, restrictions and fees.
Shipping:
With all our products:
All shipping and Insurance costs are included in the purchase price. Physical collection from Auckland or Waihi can be arranged, please contact us to arrange this. We do not deliver to a PO.BOX facilities we must be provided with a physical address before we can ship your item. All shipments will be sent via tracking and recorded post, where a signature will be required from the purchaser if you instruct or allow the courier to deliver your order without you signing for the package, our insurance ceases to cover the package from that point. Once the shipping address is provided by the customer and confirmed by ourselves WBC Ltd takes no responsibility for changes to the confirmed delivery details.
The free shipping option only applies to customers in New Zealand
.All other shipping destinations will be considered on a case by case basis. Contact by email for shipping outside of New Zealand is recommended.
Limitation of Liability:
Waihihi Bullion Company Ltd Ltd reserves the right to adjust, amend, or cancel and refund any order. Waihihi Bullion Company Ltd is a trader of bullion and precious metals coins, it is not our intention to offer investment advice to anyone.
Privacy Policy:
We collect personal information (including your full name, address, and contact details) so that we may administer our relationship with you, provide you with products and services you request, as well as information about WBC Ltd products and services.
As a part of our Anti Money Laundering and Know Your Client policies WBC Ltd will collect information on individuals such as company director and officers (where the company is our client), as well as client’s agents
If you provide us with incomplete or inaccurate information, we may not be able to provide you with the products or services you are seeking.
We will not at anytime forward this information to any other 3rd party unless we are required to by law.
Refunds:
Except in the case of an unequivocal error on our part, we will not refund all or any portion of the purchase price for your purchases. If we have sent you an item other than the one you have purchased, your sole remedy will be that we will send you the correct item on return of the item incorrectly sent undamaged and with its original packing slip and packaging. Otherwise, we will re-purchase the item from you at our then-current purchase price plus our normal fee for this service. This purchase price may be greater or lesser than the one in place at the time you purchased the item.

Our “Market Loss Policy” (Ask To Ask Policy):
When purchasing from Waihihi Bullion Company Ltd, once we have issued a confirmation number, the price is locked in for you and the transaction may not be cancelled, but only offset at our current ask price. Any deficit between the price at which we sold to you and the offsetting purchase price and or prices, is your responsibility only if your item(s) is cancelled or returned. That amount will be charged to you, plus a $50.00 (NZD) cancellation fee. That is our Market Loss Policy. Any market gain on cancellations shall remain the property of Waihihi Bullion Company Ltd.
